Hey hey!
Welcome to Week Three of the May Style Challenge - we’re officially halfway through, and you’re doing so well. How did you go styling sky blue or leopard print this week? As you can see, I stuck with the sky blue.
This week’s key colours are khaki and brown - earthy tones that go with just about everything. Think of this week as a neutral reset. These colours are timeless, chic, and super versatile. You might already have more in your wardrobe than you think: slip skirts, a cosy knit, a trench, a tee, even a pair of boots or a bag!
As always, we’re sticking with the 3-3-3 rule:
3 bottoms
3 tops
3 outerwear pieces or dresses
Mix, match, and make them work for your life and the weather (always check the forecast before planning!).
This week’s tip:
Let’s talk outfit tracking. Have you heard of the app Indyx? It’s an easy way to log your outfits and see what pieces you’re actually wearing. I’ve been using it for a while now and it’s been such a game changer for seeing which items I reach for the most—and what might be sitting untouched. (I’ll pop a screenshot of my April tracking below so you can have a peek!)
Whether you’re building a more intentional wardrobe or just want to remember outfits you’ve loved, Indyx makes it super simple. Plus, it’s oddly satisfying to tick off each day with a new look.
As always, there’s some inspo and links below, but start by digging into your own wardrobe. Swap colours if you need, play around, and don’t forget to accessorise.
Let’s make khaki and brown the unsung heroes of the week!
With love and a closet full of colour,
Rachel
